Great facility to have in the town - go and use it!
This is a modern style pool - ie all wavy lines rather than a big rectangle. So it's great for kids and families. Maybe less so for 'serious' swimmers. There is a wave machine, a current can be switched on (water not electric!) that propels you along, and a water slide - so kids have agreat time. Nice little shallow pool and a bubble pool - could be warmer! there is a busy timetable there, so check before going that you'll be able to do what you're after. Lane swimming session sort the 'serious' swimmers at set times, otherwise forget doing lengths! Prices are fair, all is clean and lockers are good. good family changing. Good cafe too. excellent kids party venue.

Meadowlands
Meadowlands is an ideal pool for all! It has sessions that run for the elderly, women only, wet and wild and adult length sessions! Its of reasonable price and offers very good monthly and yearly memberships! Its great for people to learn to swim with a shallow pool! Generally kept very clean in last couple years.

Meadowlands was a great addition to Tavistock some years back, and Im glad to see that its still going. I dont get to go swimming as much as I would like, but have always enjoyed Meadowlands. Its so much more convenient having a local pool then trekking into Plymouth or Saltash.

Good fun but check timetable first!
I can remember going to Meadowlands as a kid. It has always been one of the best swimming pools around as it has a flume and whirlpool bit that pushes you around! Great fun even for adults. The outdoor slide opens in nice weather and is always good fun however the part where you re-enter the pool has always been known for being occasionally difficult to get out of if you are not a strong swimmer, however there are always lifegaurds on standby. I would advise checking the timetable first as it is not always open to the general public :)

Brilliant fun
I used to go here when I was a kid, but take my kids now. Its a great way to entertain them as they absolutely love it, but are getting some exercise at the same time! I dont think its changed too much in recent years, but thats probably a good thing as it is a really nice little set up. The end of the flume can be a bit scary for little kids with the decent into a swell of water, but there is always a lifeguard with a pole on hand to give them something to hold on to if needed.

Good Family Day Out
Meadowlands is a great little swimming pool that's well located near the centre of the town, and not too expensive. It's good for kids (and adults) who want to play and serous swimmers alike. There's a great indoor River Rapid and an outdoor flume to keep people entertained. There's also a cafe which overlooks the pool for people who don't want to get wet.
