I visited with a friend and had an excellent experience. The place was buzzing with customers, and rightly so as the food was very yummy, great value and great waitress service! I will definitley be returning soon! 10/10

NO these are not good pasties, as a builder i know good ones these are not them, the little bakery up the steet from there is 100% better

Don't go if vegetarian..

I thought the place was good because there are a lot of vegetarian options but today I bought a vegetable pasty and took two bites then realised they had given me a steak pasty! As a vegetarian of 6 years that was upsetting for me and I am very disappointed. I returned the pasty and got a refund but feel that they should have been more apologetic.

The Original Pasty House on Bedford Square offers a delicious range of traditional pasties plus hot & cold food as well as real coffee to have in or take away. This large Tavistock café offers a range of jacket potatoes, sandwiches, panini’s and wraps on offer.

Pick of the Pasties

I'm always impressed by the different flavour pasties in this place, there's lots to choose from. The service is fast and friendly and the food is nice. There are lots of additional food and drinks on sale. The cafe is usually pretty busy, I like it best int he summer with the large open windows, watching the people go by. They also sponsor some local events which is encouraging.

Yum!

A superb cafe that is a very well run business. Always plenty of staff to serve you so very little waiting time and always friendly and polite. The pasties are delicious and there is also a wide selection of jacket potatoes, sandwhichs, salads, cakes and many other yummy options... the problem is what to choose! The chocolate muffins have to be at the top of the list!

Selection

The pasty house is a brilliant place for a quick take away but also to sit in for your lunch or a quick coffee with others. There is a great selection of pasties; a great selection for vegetarians too! The prices can be pricey compared to other pasty shops in tavistock but its worth it! The staff are friendly when eating in. There is a wide selection of other hot foods and desserts as well as brilliant teas, coffees, milkshakes and lates. Can be very busy at times though!

The Pasty House is a must if you are looking for a..

The Pasty House is a must if you are looking for a good pasty. There are about 15 different varieties and they are all piping hot and ready to go. There is also a choice of baguettes or Paninis made fresh to order. This place is always busy and there is rarely a free table but I guess thats what comes with good food and a good reputation. Always well staffed so you never have to wait more than 5 minutes. Excellent.

Excellent!

Brilliant Pasties! Always a wide variey of choice too, never seem to run out of any which is nice as you are never let down when you get there. They also do fresh sandwiches, baguettes and paninis made in front of you, excellent choice of fillings aswell. The staff always ask you exactly what you want or don't want in it which I find brilliant because I hate Tomatoes! Brilliant speedy service and friendly staff, I hope this place continues to boom as it deserves too. Excellent.

I guess that this is one of Tavistocks most successful..

I guess that this is one of Tavistocks most successful eating places as it always seem full. I guess you can eat a pasty whether its cold and rainy, or sunny so it does well all year round. There pasties are very tasty and quite reasonably priced. The staff are always friendly and efficient.
