Musicians win scholarships

TWO musically talented sixth-formers at Mount House School in Tavistock have been awarded scholarships to join the secondary schools of their choice when they leave in the summer.

Anthony Hayward, who lives at Saltash, has won a Major Music Scholarship to Bryanston School, near Blandford in Dorset.

Izzy Kidner, who is this year’s head girl at Mount House, has won a Young Academic Leader Award to Wells Cathedral School. Izzy, who lives at Manaton, has been described as ‘an outstanding musician with a beautiful soprano voice’.
