The Whitchurch Inn
Perfect location
The Whitchurch Inn is situated in the most wonderful rural location, very close to the town but only 5 minutes walk from the moor. So this is the perfect pub to visit after a long walk on the moor - especially if you have your dog with you because the pub is dog friendly and if you are lucky enough to arrive when the land lady is around your pooch maybe treated to a bonio or something equally tasty! Food is above average and drinks are very reasonable.

The Whitchurch is a very friendly, dog welcoming pub that does more than your average pub food! Its situated slightly out of the town but is ideal for the occasional drink or good quality meal. It is slightly on the pricey side but is worth it on occasion. Friendly staff and warm atmosphere.

More than just your standard pub grub
This is a nice, dog friendly pub with lovely owners and friendly staff. There's plenty of parking, but only a couple of places directly outside, as it were. Inside the Whitchurch is warm and cosy - it's not that big so has an intimate vibe. They do good food too, though you may need to book; but the menu is good, the food is fresh and always served quickly and piping hot. More than just your standard pub grub.
