Great old fashioned pub , good beer and good bands
The Tavistock is in the heart of town and is a well established 'old fashioned' establishment. It's what pubs used to be like. ALways a steady stream of good local - talented - bands playing, and good beers too.
It isn't posh, shiny or brightly lit, it is slightly shabby, the people in there are just a little rough around the edges - but that's what gives it character ! Look at the poutside, and it does what it says on the tin. Oh - and it has a parrot!By dartmoorpixel at 22:09 on 15/01/11

Havnt visited the Tavistock Inn many times but when i have there has been a good selection of beers and live music!! It regularly offers a wide selection of music, which is popular with many of the people who visit there. Definatly worth visiting to make up your own opinion, not a pub a visit regualrly but on occasion has been good!!
