From an under 18's or teenage perspective I found the downstairs part of the bar very good fun. Been there for parties, 18ths and have had a really good time. Reasonable priced drinks, with great service and a friendly smile. Great for local small parties. Only problem would be access and parking.

Jack Cham’s Lounge Bar on West Street is a late night bar that offer live music, food and a dancefloor. You can purchase freshly made light snacks and fresh ground coffee. The pub itself offers a decent range of lagers, ales and a wide range of lots of other beverages.

Jack chams is an ideal place of a weekend! It can be too busy, so much so its hard to get a drink or to move!! Although the majority of time especially in the summer when the outside seating is available it is big enough to accommadate the amount of people that go there! The beers are about standard price and the staff work hard! There is a good range of live music playing regularly and a good place to end the night!

Jack Chams is the best place in Tavistock for live music. They regularly have bands play here, its a shame that the venue is so tiny but it always has a great atmosphere and you never usually have to wait too long for a drink if its busy as it is always well staffed. There is an outside seating area with heaters which is lovely on summer evening, and the heaters keep you toasty in the winter if you are a smoker.
There is a really nice feel to this bar. Its definately not a pub, its small and funky with a long list on the walls of up and coming live music. There is always a nice atmosphere here. Personally I prefer it in here when it is quiet and chilled out (weekday evening). It can get pretty busy in here at the weekends but if thats what you like then its a great addition to Tavistock's nightlife.

ReportIve been here once, and although it seems like a nice, clean, well run bar (it does have more of a bar feel rather than a pub), it was a bit full. I suppose this isnt a bad thing, but it would have benefitted from having the downstairs area open as well.
Its nice that Tavistock has an option if you want to stay out past the standard 11.30pm. It is a bit a shame that its not bigger though as half of Tavistock (or the teenage population at least) seem to descend here on a Friday and Saturday night, and it can feel a bit tight. At that time of night do dont normally mind though!

A great little high street bar. It has an outside decking area with heaters and plenty of interesting cocktails. It is clearly the choice of many young people on night out as its always well packed. They have got a few TVs dotted around the place with plenty of different seating areas. If youre looking for a lively atmosphere and you dont mind slightly crowded bars then you should go here for a few drinks on a weekend.

This is a nice little place and we usually finish up here if we have been out for a meal as its nice for a quiet drink after. At the weekend it is substantially busier but still a great atmosphere. Summer evening are well spent on the decking with one of their many great cocktails :)
