Womble certainly stole the day with her hi-vis jacket on Saturday, she is a real star and a wonderful ambassador for the team. Her presence in the town on Saturday certainly raised a lot of interest and caused lots of heads to turn as people saw her busy picking up the litter.
Thank you Roger and BlueWolf Boutique for sponsoring Wombles hi-vis jacket. It is good to know we have the support of local businesses in what we are doing throughout the town.
We have many plans for the future to try and promote Tavistock becoming a litter free town, and Womble will be playing a big part in this........ so watch out for her.
We want to encourage younger people to come and join our team. Parents bring your children and join in this worth while once a month community event.
It's your town, so why not come and join us, it really is so....... rewarding.
If you know of any litter problem area's please contact us and we will do our best to resolve it.

Am loving Womble the dog's bespoke hi-vis jacket. It was sponsored by Roger the Watchman and BlueWolf Boutique, who are both based in the Pannier Market. Womble genuinely does live up to her name, picking up cans and plastic bottles from hard-to-reach places and she is such a fab ambassador for the team. Tidy Tavi's also a really good local get-to-know-you.... turn up and join in on the first Saturday of every month, meeting at the Wharf car park at 10am.

Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who turned up again to help clear the litter from our town.
I would like to say a special thank you to Councillor Debo Sellis for her ongoing help and support. Despite being extremely busy she joins us each litter pick and has been a tremendous support to us. She very generously through her Locality budget provided us with 20 litter pickers which makes our job less back breaking.
We have many people to thank that help us, Phil Jarman a local business man comes with his 4 wheel drive and transports all the full rubbish banks to a central point, the Council arrange for Fosca to collect them.
So as you see Tidy Tavi really is a Team effort and without all these people helping Tidy Tavi could not operate.
So to all the wonderful volunteers and all the other valuable support, please accept this as a personal Thank You from me.
