Thanks Kyloe - photos are even more impressive - like katef1 says, it's all about the operator!!. I've got a year old Powershot SX120is 10 mega pixels - it's a good little camera and I was really pleased with the shots I took of the night glow. I'm aiming to take the next step shortly into the world of DSLR!!
The human eye can only see up to about 3 mega pixels. So anything after that level is more to do with image size. I would get the flash fixed otherwise ;))
Thanks Kate & WhitePig. Yes my own pics, my camera is an old Canon PowerShot that I've had for about 12 years, a small compact digital camera of just 4 mega pixels.
