I think that Tavistock is holding up well given the pressures of commercialism. Population and the effects of leaded vehicle pollution would all have left their marks. The buildings have also been renovated to ensure their survival. Most of us would like to turn back time, even to last week and take this weeks lottery results with us...
Tavistock high street hasn't aged well. Such a shame. I'm currently reading Peter Hitchens book "Abolition of Britain", I highly recommend the book. It's helping me understand what has happened to Britain in the last 100 years
