I have been shopping here and thier stall in the pannier market for a few years now and I have to say it is probably the best pet shop I have been in. The service that I experienced was excellent with the staff always willing to help. They provide great advice on any queries that you may have. The range of products are also excellent providing for dogs, cats, small animals, fish, reptiles and even poultry. I have a wide range of animals and I manage to get all my shopping here at Rons. Well worth the visit, even if you just want to look at the mini zoo upstairs!!

Rons Pet Supplies is a family run business and has been established since 1989. We started with a couple of tables in the local Pannier Market selling lose weigh dog and cat foods a few peanuts and small range of accessories.

We built our business on good old fashion reliability, service, and keen prices. After a couple of years we built our stocks and started offering a free local delivery service, which was a great success.

In 1999 we opened our first shop in Tavistock, Devon. It was a big risk, it was out of town on a small business park with very little traffic going by. After concentrating on providing good service, sound advice and the best prices we could the shop started to take off, in 18 months we moved to a larger shop on the the same estate which enabled us to increase our range and provide our customers with what they needed.

It also enabled us to buy better which keeps our prices as low as possible. Now we can offer you exactly the same and you dont even have to come to Tavistock ( But its worth a visit if you are in Devon.)

Ron's Pet Suppiles- Great Choice of supplies

One of the best pet stores I have been to. Great choice for all sorts of animals! Every pet I have had this is the first place I would go. Good location with great parking facitilties next to the store.
Tavistock is very well known for its pet stores but I would say this one would be hard to beat.
The only downside to this is that if you are outside of tavistock it might be difficult to find.

While I live in Plymouth and have only visited this shop the once so far, I'd definitely recommend it. It's well stocked and caters for all kinds of animals, not just cats and dogs. I'll be back.

Great Pet Shop

I come here for both my dog food and cat food on a regular basis and they always have what I need and on the one time they didnt they ordered it for me and called me as soon as it was in so I didnt need to wait long. The staff are knowledgable and friendly and always help carry heavy bags down to the car! Also very happy to give advise if you have a question to ask.

Great for more exotic pet keeping!

Ron's is great for cats, dogs, hamsters etc but it also stock more specialized things for snakes, spiders and reptiles. There are often some in the shop which you may like or dislike on you shopping experience - especially if its a big spider!! They also have a limited but good range of fish and aquatic supplies - a very good pet shop and brilliant service from the staff.

It would be hard to find this store if you didnt know..

It would be hard to find this store if you didnt know it existed as its off the road in an industrial estate away from the town centre. They seem to be maintaining a healthy business though as the store is nearly always busy. Its well run and maintained, and the staff are extremely helpful, and will carry heavy items to your car for you if required.

My kids actually look forward to coming here! I think its because of the fish tanks, turtles, and snakes at the back of the second level. Cheap day out at the zoo! Its great for dog supplies and they do a whole range of different types of foods. Handy parking right outside the store as well.

Best pet shop for advice

Tavistock is very good for pet shops, although this one is not situated in the main town I always used it when I kept fish as its has a good range of stock and I found that the staff here always knew what they were talking about and were always on hand to give good advice. A lovely little shop with some nice unusual stock.

Good

Overall, a really good pet store. You cant really fault the staffs knowledge who all appear to be well trained in most areas of pet care. Equally, the range and quality of products is very good. In general, a very happy customer and would advise a trip to Rons Pet Supplies if you ever need anything for your furry friends.

An okay pet store in my experience. It isn't as extensive as some pet shops but does have most things you'll need. The aquarium section could be improved a bit with more tanks and fish. There is plenty of good parking space out the front of the shop due to it being in an industrial estate which makes life easy. However, if you didn't know Tavistock very well - you might say it's a little hidden away.
