Tavistock College students looking for work experience

LOCAL businesses can expect a torrent of enquiries from willing Tavistock College students eager to gain real life experience in the world of work.
The college runs a work experience week each July, and students have been urged to organise their placements as soon as possible to ensure they secure positions with the town’s best businesses.
Work experience coordinator Nick Davies said: “Students are asked to organise their own work placements, as this gives them ownership of the process, and we generally get excellent feedback from employers.
“The work experience week gives them a good insight into the world of work and helps them with choices about what they might - or might not - want to do in the future.”
If you would be prepared to offer a work placement to a student but haven’t been approached, please contact Nick on 01822 614231, extension 203, or email n.davies@tavistockcollege.devon.sch.uk

It would be great to have some young community publishers on TavistockPeople.co.uk to tell us about their experiences.
