Council Workers Collect Eleven Tonnes of Waste From Tavistock After Goose Fair

West Devon Borough Council has reported that it collected nine tonnes of mixed waste and two tonnes of recyclable waste in Tavistock immediately after Goose Fair on Wednesday.  

The whole clean up operation was completed by 6am on Thursday morning but this hasn't impressed some of you who think that's a load of rubbish and more should be done to reduce the amount of waste being generated in the first place by discouraging consumerism.  

As one contributor puts it; Goosey Fair might be fun but it also might be fatal for the planet.
