Local children learned all about recyling recently, thanks to a special visit.
Recycler, the Rapping Robot, visited Tavistock Primary, St Peters and Whitchurch schools to tell them about the 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
"Over one tonne of waste each year is thrown away by every UK household and more than half of this could be recycled," said Terri Easton, Waste Education Officer for West Devon Borough Council.
"Through Recycler and his show the children learn about how important it is to reduce waste and to recycle as much as possible, at home and at school.
"Joining in with Recycler’s rap and watching the games, props and role-plays is a great way for the children to remember important messages and take them home.”
If your school is interested in hosting a waste education workshop please contact Terri Easton on 01822 813570.
