Police appeal for witnesses after fatal crash in Tavistock

A road traffic collision occurred in Bannawell Street, Tavistock at approximately 9.45am on Tuesday 1st February.

The vehicle, a red Peugeot 206 estate, was being driven by 69 year-old female from Tavistock. She was taken to Derriford Hospital by ambulance crews, but sadly the died in hospital yesterday. Her next of kin have been informed.

The car is thought to have clipped a stationary vehicle, and police are investigating the possibility the woman had a medical episode before the collision.
