National Liftshare week in Tavistock

National Liftshare Week

National Liftshare Week has started today, so if you haven't tried it before, then now's the time to look in to it.

My sister has just started car sharing from Callington to Torpoint, and so far it's working out brilliantly - half the petrol costs, half the pollution, and someone to talk to on your journeys :)

Have you tried it before? Could you offer anyone a regular lift? Would you be reluctant to try it, and if so why?

Yeah it can't hurt to check these things. Better safe then sorry! I've done it a couple of times before, but is was with friends of friends so there was already a connection there. I don't know if I'd be too happy with giving a complete stranger a lift.

The law was changed to allow this but what is still a grey area is Insurance. Something that will only come under examination when making a claim. I would get the OK from your current Insurance company in writing, it may well be without cost. For some Insurances it may already be allowed in the policy document. But it pays to be over cautious with any type of insurance.
