We've had blockbuster film stars and Olympic medal winners .... will the next big thing to come out of Tavistock be young band Ten Zero One?

Congratulations to Ten Zero One
The group of 13 year-olds stormed through the second round of auditions at the Guildhall in Plymouth on Saturday, and are now just a three and a half minute performance away from a place in the Live and Unsigned Final at the 02 Arena, London!
All four boys stepped their performances up a gear, and played well to fend of stiff competition from much older and more experienced bands. They had just three and a half minutes to show off their skills, in which they chose to play an original song entitled 'Rat Pack', before moving into a shortened version of Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain'.
Three quarters of the way into the afternoons auditions the compare asked the judges if any of the performances had stood out, and they replied: "Yes ... Ten Zero One". Despite this boost in confidence the band were still feeling the nerves as they awaited the final verdict. There were some very strong contenders in the running, especially the solo artists, and only four acts would make it through to the next round (three decided by the judges, and one left to an audience vote). They needn't have fretted however, as they were automatically put through as one of the top three.
Ten Zero One will now perform in the Live and Unsigned Area Final which will be held on 21st May in Portsmouth. It's going to be a tough afternoon, as only two acts will progress from each heat.
The finalists will then perform at the 02 Arena in London, where the overall winner will receive a recording contract with Future Music, a World Tour, up to £100,000 of investment, and the chance to perform at several festivals. We'll keep you updated with their progress!
In about one weeks time a video of the full performance will be posted on the Live and Unsigned You Tube channel. Make sure you pass the link on because the boys will be judged on the amount of hits they receive.

Reportwhat a Fab band they are, they came and played for me at the rock n blues nights at the wharf when i was running it, Ten Zero One were then called, the growlers.
I know they are hard working outfit, it takes a lot of hard work keeping a band on the road, with moving all the gear and getting the sound right, thease lads will go far and they are a great credit to there parents. Well done.
