Royal wedding parties in Tavistock

Does anyone know of any street parties/events being held locally for the royal wedding on 29th April?
Whether or not you're a royal fan, most of us have the day off work, so it seems like a great opportunity to have a knees up.
If you're planing on organising a party, no matter how big or small, it would be worth having a look at the Street Party website. They offer some great tips about how to organise an event, how to go about closing a road, activities ideas, and more.
Let us know if you're planning an open event so we can get involved :-)

Depending how strict your Council is - there are only 5 days to apply to hold a Street Party. Most 'Street Parties' that I know about are not actually in the Street. A far cheaper and less involved matter to arrange.

ReportKate - that Street Party website is very handy to know about - as you say has some very good tips for community parties in general.

ReportIt certainly does not help people with annual leave that includes public and bank holidays. It is one less day they can have at some other time. You can thank the Labour Government for keeping this arrangement for the UK.

ReportThat website is the sort that the Middleton's would be advertising their wares on. The official government page with links is http://tinyurl.com/5v8wz3j
