Grit could have prevented multiple accidents on Sunday morning

Does anyone know anything about the road accidents that took place on Sunday morning? Apparently there were several minor accidents on the outskirts of Tavistock towards Plymouth. A friend of a friend was involved with one. Several cars skidded on ice leading to pile ups. Apparently the frost was forecast the day before, but the roads weren't gritted ... I'm sure there are lots of unhappy drivers out there!
