Ten reasons why not to build in the Tavy Valley:
1) Crowndale is listed by English Heritage as a Medieval settlement (Record number 4065)
2) Crowndale mine is also listed by English Heritage as a recorded Monument (record number 3956)
3) Lower Brook is recognised as a Environmentally Sensitive Area!
4) The fields (Grid Ref SX470/729) are known to be Medieval and finds have previously been made in these areas.
5) The plans directly join on to an area recognised as a Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
6) It also directly joins on to an area recognised as a World Heritage Site.
7) One of the best preserved Medieval wells this country has, lies within meters of a planned major road, with the possible risk of pollution.
9) We will loose forever a great deal of our flora and wildlife.
10) Tavistock will loose it's unique identity and be scarred forever.
