WARNING!!! Radiation fall out reaches Dartmoor!!

Following the annoucment yesterday that radiation has reached Oxford and Glasgow - http://tinyurl.com/4yfsl4j

I can confirm that levels on Dartmoor have reached 1411 millirads (11.4 mGy) which is well above normal background levels. I have been monitioring the levels in association with the Radiation Netork for Europe - http://tinyurl.com/43rmaz8 since the nuclear disaster in Japan.

With the use of of a RadAlert 100 (which can be bought on line from a number of websites) I have been monitioring levels for the last 4 weeks.

Advice - if you grow your own produce please wash it thoroughly! Livestock may need to be checked. Hence to say I have contacted the Environment Agency and Puclic Health Authorities to inform them of my findings.

As a precaution you may want to keep your windows closed, and if you have to venture out please wear a face mask and pPlease tell everyone you know and get this news out ASAP!!!!
