Tavistock is has been gradually building up its portfolio of places to eat out with good variety now on offer to those on the lookout for a quality meal in equally quality surroundings and all with an emphasis on good, wholesome local produce.
Newly opened Taylor's Restaurant in Market Street is definitely one to try out (and keep going back to!) for any occasion - lunch, evening or just a coffee. Every aspect of what is delivered does not disappoint.
Robertson's Organic Cafe in Pepper Street should also be a regular haunt too and even does evening meals at the weekend.
Blue Mango in Plymouth Road is also a great one for an evening meal. Limited but very delicious menu choice in gorgeous surroundings.
Dukes Cafe around the outside of the Pannier Market if great for a stop off any time of day. Anything chosen on the menu is going to be good - the home made soups have got to be tasted.
The Cattle Market Cafe (Food Dreckly) is a hidden gem and definitely worth the extra minutes walk from the centre of town. Very down to earth place with the food so tasty, you won't understand why you've never been there before!! There's even a monthly evening opening - be warned though, these get booked up way in advance so plan ahead.
