Hi all, just listening to a report on the radio about the planned police cuts. Not good ey? What do you think? Will it affect Tavistock residents?

No - Over the past 13 years the Police were allowed to became fat and bloated with Staff. Now it is time to slim down and become efficient. I am sure they can do this and serve Tavistock in exactly the same way.

Errr I've never seen evidence or heard reports about the police being 'fat and bloated' with staff. Quite the opposite in fact.

The description of 'fat and bloated' is mine. They have the highest number of Police Officers and the highest number of Police Staff they have ever had. If you can cut as many staff as are being cut and not report inefficiency to the Home Office - there must be some slack somewhere.
