Flying Ants Take Over Plymouth!

I went into the city centre the other day and there were thousands, if not millions, of flying ants! It was almost scary. Has anyone else noticed them? Does anyone know why there is so many of them this year? Surely the council will have to do something about it.

This would appear to be one off yearly flying ant behaviour. Colony forming behaviour as they search out queens. I doubt you will experience it again this year. This is all about leadership and community building, so it is doubtful the council will ever be involved...

Colleague of mine who lives in Plymouth also noticed the huge ant cloud. His home over looks some playing fields and he happened to look at and wonder where the 'smoke' was coming from. Turns out it was a massive ant cloud travelling across the area. He described it as being like 8 double decker busses in size from nose to tail.

It's just a cloud of Plymouth city council workers...with a bit of luck, someone will squat them and we can all live happily ever after :-)

Come on now - we must pay some 60% of our Council Tax to have someone in charge of the paper-clips. Have you noticed how Councils do not have redundant jobs - they have job cuts (but only when forced to look at the true position).
