On the 23rd May the Emergency Services are holding a Road Awarness Day = ESRAD and are hoping to attract 6000 bikers from across the South West. All proceeds in aid of the Air Ambulance.
It will be a great day out and is being billed as Cornwall's second largest event of the year.
Some of those present will be...
Cornwall fire & rescue
West country ambulance service
Air Ambulance
Devon & Cornwall Police
Coast guards and lifeboats
Bomb disposal
Dartmoor rescue group
Road Safety Council
The military
etc
There will also be a bar, family fun area, vintage and custom vehicles plus live entertainment. Entrance £3 per adult £ child/senior citizens
A number of bike org's are already starting to get involved and I have said I would give it a mention on here.
I shall be leading a leisurely rideout with other bikers from Plymouth via Yelverton, Princetown, Tavistock and Callington before going on to Saltash. On route we hope to be joined by many more bikers from Devfon and Cornwall and would welcome your participation from any of the above locations. If interested please let me know - tar@gmx.co.uk or message me via this site.
Full details of ESRAD are available at... tinyurl.com/y2hylu7
Thanks folks.
Should anyone be joining our friendly group on the ride to ESRAD we shall be arriving at the tennis courts/bowling green on Plymouth Road at approx 9.50am.
Weather forcast is great! Ideal for a gentle ride to Saltash to support the Air Ambulance, be good to meet some other local bikers too :)
All levels welcome, we're not the black leathers gang or boy racers, just a nice bunch of everyday people from various backgrounds.
