Thanks ever so much for the info, it is nice to hear that it will be done this year. You mention it will be an easier route, are you really sure about that? I live at Brentor and regularly use the route up Wilminstone Hill/Cherrybrook to get to and from Tavistock. I have tried the Blackdown, Mary Tavy, Peter Tavy, Moorshop route in both directions and basically it is darned hard work cycling that way, far too many hills, if only they opened up the railway from Wilminstone to Lydford. I am sure it would encourage a lot more people to cycle, including families, there is no way children could cycle on the above mentioned routes, they are far too hilly and far too much traffic.
