Dukes Coffee House
Brilliant
Dukes is ideal for all occasions! It does brilliant food, which arrives in good time!! Especially their homemade soups and nachos!! There is a wide selction of drinks and sweet snacks! and i great section outside to eat at and watch things go by (brilliant in the summer)! The staff are very friendly and it is of good price! There is also a very good take away service which is very quick and you can see the food being made infront of you! Can be busy at times due to its popularity but generally always a quick service or a seat available in time!

This little cafe is split into 2. A small cafe with seating outside and a take away hatch. There is not a lot of room to sit inside but the service is brilliant and the food is excellent for a coffee house. I once had a bacon sandwich to take away which wasn't the best, just black from the grill but I think this was a one off as everything else has been superb :)

Personally I think there are better places to eat in around the area as it is very small and cramped (but if you like your films its worth sitting in to admire all the great film moments framed photo's that cover nearly all the walls!). But if you want to take out then this is the place to go. I used to work in Tavistock and always used Dukes for my luch. Their jacket potatoes are great and they always have nice healthy soupd on offer too. The hot chocolates are also very good, piled high with squirty cream and marshmallows!

One of Tavistocks better coffee houses. They do really nice home cooked food. Baked potatoes with a variety of fillings, paninis and they used to (I havent had it in a while) do a great spicy parsnip soup. Healthy as well as yummy! It is a bit small, but there is seating available as well as a takeout option.

We used to get a delivery from Dukes every lunch time when I worked at the vets. The panini's are great - especially the bacon and cheese :) I would also recommend the jacket potatoes and the hot chocolate. It's a very small place but there's seating inside and out. They also do takeaway.

A good cafe with a varied menu giving consistently high standards of food and atmosphere. Staff are pleasant, polite and prompt. It has been a good meeting place for many friends for many years as you know will cater for most tastes. Make sure you leave room for a Duke Special hot chocolate and take a calculater to work out the calories in it.... yummee
