Perfect meeting place

Located in a quiet corner of the town centre overlooking the churchyard, Cafe Liaison is the perfect place to meet friends for coffee, drinks or a meal. It's got a lovely relaxed atmosphere – in the summer you can sit outside under the trees, and in winter snuggle in the sofas upstairs. Service is unhurried, so you can take it easy and enjoy an excellent coffee at leisure. We haven't eaten here yet, but have heard good reports about the food, so I'm sure we'll be back to try it soon!

Well worth finding, beside the Church

Not the easiest cafe in town to find, but well worth the effort. Down the pedestrian only lane beside the (main) church, cafe liaison has inside and ouside seating in a tucked-away corner. Bit shady and damp in winter, but fabulous in spring and summer. All the usual cafe fare, nicely done. Always reasonably busy - a good sign for any cafe. Nice staff too. Can't say I've noticed any lower-end cutomers as per reviewer above.

Best cafe in town!

Now this is an easy review to write because Cafe Liason is by far my favourite cafe in Tavistock. Lovely comfy chairs upstairs and a wonderful peaceful atmosphere to relax in with a coffee or a sandwhich. Seating outside for the warmer days looking over the church yard. When you visit this cafe you really must try their smoothies, they are fabulous!

No bad

Cafe liason is a good place to relax with friends. There is a wide selection of foods and drink available all day. The upstairs section is ideal with sofa to chill at! Good twist to have live music on occasions in the evening with a bar being available! All in all a nice change to other cafes in tavistock but not a number 1 choice!

decent cafe

This is a nice cafe. I like that dogs are allowed downstairs. I think that they should always provide hot water with a pot of tea. Some members of staff can seem a bit grumpy but most are friendly.

Quirky

Cafe Liaison reminds me of a quirky old London cafe, with lots of character. The location and food are great but even better is wireless internet superfast! Its a very different cafe experience, which goes well with a cup of coffee.

Sorry to say that this once cream of the coffee shops..

Sorry to say that this once cream of the coffee shops seams to be dropping its standards. Its nice that places permit dogs but not in a coffee shop.! But then some of the people who now frequent it are the type that have dogs on string leads and make a single cup of coffee last half the day before venturing out to sell the big issue. The staff are friendly. the coffee is hot and nice but it is not a place I would not use with checking the rest of the customers out first.
