This is exactly what you would expect from a builders merchants really. The Tavistock store is quite a bit bigger than the Callington branch, and they do seem to stock most things. Its great to have a store in town that opens so early so you can crack on with projects instead of having to wait for the regular stores to open.

Building something good here
This place has everything for both professionals and self-builders alike. They have got building materials, timber, plumbing & heating, kitchens, bathrooms, landscaping materials and tool hire. They always provide a high level of customer service and it is well worth asking them about their account/discount cards. They even give you a hand with heavy stuff if youre lugging it to your car!

Pretty Good
As far as builders merchants go, the Travis in Tavi has got all the products youd need for both small and larger scale building work. The guys there are usually willing to throw in a bit of their building knowledge if you need it as well. Reasonable prices on most of their stuff and even better if you can get a loyalty card or account with them.

Travis Perkins is a very useful shop! I have several internal walls that have been constructed from timber and plaster board from this shop. As mentioned, I would definitely get a loyalty card if youre going to be visiting more than a couple of times, because its easy to apply for, and can save you a bit of money. Some of the people on the tills can be a bit moody, but the forklift staff have always been friendly and helpful.

Very useful
I've been renovating a cottage for the last three years and have found this shop invaluable throughout. It stock everything that you would expect from a builders merchants, and the opening ours are very useful. If you are going to be using the shop on a regular basis I would recommend getting a loyalty card to increase savings.
