A real asset to the town, The Wharf is a great place to enjoy a show or movie in a lovely setting, and without the hassle of a journey to Plymouth. Access is terrific, with the bus station directly opposite, and plenty of car parking onsite. Admission prices are reasonable, and there's a pleasant cafe in the daytime (we loved the lemon cake!) and bar in the evening. Best of all is the delightful canal-side seating area – a lovely spot to relax in the summer, watch the ducks and enjoy a drink!

the Wharf is well located, with a huge car park. there are a great selection of shows, film, theatre, exhibitions, bands - a real wide choice. Lots of older top names, and a lot of tribute bands. Super place for a kids panto or show - much closer and cheaper than a trip into Plymouth!
Nice staff too, and a nice building. Two downs - cafe in the daytime is rather bland and a bit naff, althouth it tries hard. And at an evening show, don't have the first (or second!) pint off the tap - it'll have been standing a while (it's gotten me a couple of times!)
A great venue, sensibly priced, well worth using.

All of the reviews on here are positive which just goes to show how lucky we are to have such a great little entertainment venue like the Wharf in Tavistock. They show a good variety of acts - I particularly enjoy the rock and blues nights on some Thursdays. The atmosphere is always great and we always have a top night. They've had some good photography exhibitions in there lately as well.

I regularly attend the Wharf. They have a great selection of bands in from jazz to rock, to country. Its always a great night out and the atmospheres always good. Ive never been to watch a film here, but will make it my aim to go soon. Id imagine that its far more convenient then trekking all the way into Plymouth. Although they dont have the same variety of films, Id also imagine that theyre far cheaper (not hard!).
I'm so pleased that Tavistock has a venue like this. They have something on most weekends, which is great if your at a loose end. We regularly have friends down from London, and The wharf is a great place to take them to see a local band. Good location, and very good parking.
The Wharf offers a broad range of performing and media arts to the local community. Its programme is usually of high quality and is varied enough so that there is something for everyone. There is plenty of parking and the building itself is pretty cool too. Check out their programme and take the family along to a performance or film.

ReportBilled as the South West's premier arts and entertainment centre for live rock, folk, classical and blues music, cinema, theatre and much more. (Might be a little over egging it a little bit) but it is a great place for locals of all ages. Every small market town should have something like this.
