The new year 7s at Tavistock College recently attended a Freshers Fair to find out about all the extra curricular opportunities available at the college, both at lunchtime and after school. The hall was buzzing as Year 7s toured the stalls and met the teachers and older students who lead and coach the activities. They learnt about a great many opportunities including drama and music, they had a go at netting a goal with 6th form students who coach the year 7 netball team, they found out about the Science clubs, had a go at Japanese calligraphy using authentic Japanese paint brushes, signed up for horse and pony care, DT and PE clubs, including Football and Rugby. A new club on offer which was warmly received was a club to learn how to use British sign Language.

The College is aware that those who succeed and are the happiest in their new school are often those students who "get involved" and weare therefore keen for all new students to join clubs, meet new people, learn new skills and have fun!
