Laughing Stock line up announced

Laughing Stock at the Salmon have announced the line up for their up-coming stand up comedy night on Friday 24th February ... and it's cracking!

Catherine Barnes, event organiser said: "We're SO excited about our February 24 line up at the Leaping Salmon, Horrabridge, with the return of one of the best headlines we've ever welcomed to Laughing Stock, supported by a superb line up of talent that will make up a real 'saw it here, first' experience."

Headlining the show is Nick Page who once hosted slippers and hobnobs early evening favourite, Escape to the Country. The next least-most likely scenario we can think of is Jeremy Clarkson hosting Songs of Praise. Prepare to laugh your socks off, but if you're looking for an idyllic Devon retreat with indoor pool, room for six ponies, and that all-important-farmhouse-style-kitchen ... Nick probably won't be able to help. Or care.

The MC for the evening is the delightful Ms Laura Lexx - who's been described as the next-generation Lucy Porter.

Opening the evening will be Kelly Kingham. "Highly professional and slick" - The Guardian.

Laughing Stock has hosted some superb newcomer acts in previous shows - delivering material that's generated some of the biggest laughs - and it's anticipated that this month's open mic performers are going to be just as well-received.

They are:

Patrick Harries - men's outfitter by day, fast-paced comedian (and compere of his own Cardiff comedy club) by night.

And Graham Whistler, who's won glowing review from comedy peers- including this from Paul B Edwards: "Gets better every time I see him, a star of the future"

As always, tickets are selling fast already and booking is advised - see below. Tickets cost £10 and include a curry.
