It's that time of year again! Yes I know it only seems like we've just had Christmas (especially with the distinct lack of summer that we've had this year), but I'm afraid there's no avoiding it .... it's time to start thinking about Christmas shopping in Tavistock.

I've had a quick mooch around the shops this afternoon, and there are loads of lovely ideas for Christmas presents in Tavistock. There's no need to head into the hustle and bustle of Plymouth when we have such a vast array of present ideas right here in our town.
Insideout is a fabulous shop if you're looking for bespoke homeware items, jewellery, and novelty gifts. They have a few baskets of unique Christmas decorations on display in the centre of the shop, and also have a dedicated stocking filler section. Prices start from around £1.
Pebbles are also great for homeware items. A lot of their stock is high-end, but they also sell stocker fillers such as candles which start from around £2. They've just started to display their Christmas items, and have a few baskets of elaborately crafted Christmas tree ornaments towards the back of the store. The ones pictured above are £6.49 each.
The Art Frame Gallery have a whole host of extraordinarily beautiful paintings, sculptures, and ceramic tiles. They've just had a delivery of intricately hand painted glass baubles which range from £10 - £15 pounds each.
Treats (opposite Boots) is a treasure trove of trinkets, games, jigsaws, and sweets. They have a large range of unique metal sculptures, and have plenty of stocking filler ideas – including packs of personalised coasters for just £3.99.
Hazard great if your shopping for teenagers. As well as clothes they sell belts, jewellery, wallets, footwear, and bags.
Then of course there's Crebers - where the instore aroma alone fills you with Christmas spirit. If you're buying for a 'foody' then it's a must visit. They have a massive range of luxury goods including coffee, chocolates, chutneys, biscuits and much more. Great for making hampers.
And as always, its well worth having a look around the Tavistock Pannier Market when Christmas shopping. Click here to view the photo of last year's festive season. Traditional Puddings, which sell from the market, have just started selling their yummy Christmas puds. They come in three sizes: large (for 8 people) is £6.99, medium (4 large portions) is £4.99, and they also sell an individual gluten free pudding for £2.95. If you want to order online or by phone then you can view their contact details here. Click here to visit them on Facebook. (We currently have an offer running through our voucher page whuch
entitles you to £1 off a large Christmas pudding when you present the
printed voucher. Click here to view the voucher page.)
Dartmoor Natural Soap also runs from the Pannier Market. They have a large array of gorgeous smelling, attractive soaps. Most of the stock is under £5 so it's a great stop for stocking fillers.
I've taken a few photos from various shops on the high street (many of the items above are pictured) and have added them all to a gallery. Click on the link below to view the pictures:
