Some of the largest employers in Callington and Launceston will be battling it out on the football pitch tomorrow in a seven-a-side charity tournament.
Teams from Ginsters, Tesco, Tamar Foods, Duchy College and St Dominick's Ladies Football Club will be joining hosts Callington Community College at 10am for the one-day competition. All proceeds are being split between CHICKS and the Alzheimer's Society.
Kate Barker, health and wellbeing co-ordinator for Ginsters, said: "Ginsters are looking forward to this first community football day, and hope that it will be the first of many. This is a great opportunity to work and play with other local companies and organizations."
Alan Woollcombe, Tesco Callington community champion, said: "We are delighted to be a part of this charity tournament! It should be lots of fun and – no matter who lifts the trophy at the end – CHICKS and the Alzheimer's Society will be the winners."
The event starts at 10am on the Callington Community School 3g pitch. There is no charge for entry and all support is welcome.
